ASIAN MEDICAL STUDENTS' ASSOCIATION
UNIVERSITAS PELITA HARAPAN

"They call it organization, we call it family."

Faculty of Medicine Universitas Pelita Harapan (FK UPH) is located in Tangerang, Banten. It was founded by Prof. Dr. F.X. Budhianto Suhadi, dr., SpPK (K), MM in 2001.

On those early years, UPH medical students, young people who dream to answer the world's challenges, found a precious opportunity to fulfill their desire in contributing to every single world's movement by joining AMSA. Later on in March 2004, AMSA-UPH was established.

AMSA-Universitas Pelita Harapan (AMSA-UPH) is a full-member of AMSA-Indonesia, led by a Representative and followed by her Head of Divisions.

We are ready to serve our members, faculties, and societies by gaining knowledge, making positive impacts to the societies in concrete actions, and making trans-continental friendships.

AMSA-Indonesia has 6 districts that are divided according to their respective areas. Meanwhile, AMSA-UPH is located in District 2, along with AMSA-UI, AMSA-Untar, AMSA-Ukrida, AMSA-Usakti, AMSA-UKI, AMSA-UPN, and AMSA-UAJ.

WHAT IS AMSA TO YOU ?

WHAT IS AMSA TO YOU ?

AMSA has taught me a lot as a medical student. I gain new insights, soft skills, new family, and everlasting friendship from all around the world. 3 philosophies that is knowledge, action, and friendship is implemented here. As I long to give impact and give back to society. Last but not least, AMSA gave me a whole new perspective in medicine and always have a place in my heart.

From years being part of AMSA, I've grown into a better version of myself. For me, AMSA is not only a place to grow but also the people who wants to create a better world as medical doctors together for a brighter future.

AMSA is a perfect and suitable place for all medical students to grow and develop their skills as well as personality. For me, AMSA is a place I called home; a place where I learn and a place for me to rest.

AMSA has become so much more than an organisation, but has become my home - a place I can find comfort.

Being a representative is a decision that I am most grateful for. I was able to meet 16 Executive Board and AMSA-UPH members who became family, friends from other AMSA-universities as well as AMSA-Indonesia, and found endless positive things to learn and experience.

I was able to build new relationships, develop my organizing and communicating skills, and so much more! VIVA AMSA

A wise man once said "something can only be called home when you feel lost with out it."

Not surprisingly, all I can think of is AMSA when I was reading quote outloud. AMSA had become an essential part of my journey. It has helped grown into the person I am today and has helped me connect with so many people that I could consider my family. If I am reincarnated a dozen life time later, I would still choose AMSA, and would still be proud in saying that I was a member of AMSA-UPH.

People say that home is the starting place of love, hope, and dreams. that is exactly what AMSA means to me and its members. a place where you can find your new family who will give you warmth during cold moments, a place where you can ignite your potentials and be the better version of yourself, and a place where you can get all the possibilities to achieve what you’ve been dreaming of a place to call home.
